What Player OS Can Do: 6 Core Functions
Function 1: Confirmations and Cancellations via Push Notification
Players automatically receive a push notification for every event – training sessions, games, tournaments. One tap: confirmed. Another: canceled.
No WhatsApp, no SMS, no manual entries. The coach sees in real-time on the dashboard: Who's coming, who's not, who hasn't responded yet.
Function 2: Training Overview with Animations
Before each session, players see directly in the app what will be trained today. Every exercise is animated – so no one arrives on the pitch completely unprepared.
Players know the routine. This saves explanation time. Especially with young players who quickly grasp animated content.
Function 3: Match Schedules and Calendar
All match schedules are visible in Player OS. Kick-off time, location, opponent – everything at a glance. Players and parents always know what's happening when.
Changes are automatically adopted. No more manual forwarding.
Function 4: Personal Development with 17 Attributes
The core of Player OS: Every player sees their own development – across 17 attributes, divided into 4 areas.
| Area | Example Attributes |
|---|---|
| Physical | Stamina, Speed, Tackling |
| Technical | Ball Control, Passing, Finishing |
| Mental | Commitment, Focus, Resilience |
| Tactical | Spatial Awareness, Pressing, Build-up Play |
Players see their progress over time. Evaluations come from the coach – entered in Coach OS, visible in Player OS.
Function 5: Team News with Read Receipts
You post a message to the team – all players see it in Player OS. You know who has read it.
No 'I didn't see that.' No information overload in the group chat. Clear, documented communication.
Function 6: Direct Coach Contact
Players can contact the coach directly via Player OS – without having to exchange private numbers. Simple, clean, and without data protection issues.
How Much Time Does It Really Save?
1–2 hours per week. That might sound like a little. But extrapolated, that's 50–100 hours per season.
What's included in these hours:
- Manually collecting and evaluating confirmations/cancellations: 20–30 min/week
- Informing players about training content: 10–15 min/week
- Answering schedule questions (WhatsApp, parents): 15–20 min/week
- Preparing for development talks: 10–15 min/appointment
With Player OS, most of this is eliminated. Not because an app 'does it automatically' – but because players and parents can retrieve the information themselves.
3 Coach Types Who Directly Benefit
Type 1: The Attendance Chaos Coach
You never know exactly how many players will show up. Training planning becomes a lottery: too much for 8, too little for 16.
Player OS reliably shows you who's coming 2–5 days in advance. You plan the training for the actual group – not for an estimate.
Type 2: The Coach with Ambitious Players
You have players who genuinely want to develop – but you barely manage to give them individual feedback.
Player OS makes development progress visible. Players can see for themselves where they stand. The conversation almost conducts itself.
Type 3: The Club Official
You have multiple teams, various coaches, many communication channels.
Player OS structures communication per team. Read receipts reveal information gaps. Club-wide content can be distributed purposefully.
3 Practical Scenarios
Scenario 1: Sunday Evening Quick Check
It's Sunday, 8 PM. Training tomorrow at 6 PM. You open Coach OS.
Result: 14 out of 16 players have confirmed. Two have canceled. You input 14 players. Coach OS generates the training session – with appropriate group sizes, tailored to your current training focus. Done in 30 seconds.
Previously, you would have waited until 10 PM for the last messages.
Scenario 2: Player Wants to Improve
Jonas, 15, asks you after training: 'What do I need to improve?' Previously, you would have improvised.
Today, you open the player profile in Coach OS. Weaknesses: Passing and build-up play. Strengths: Tackling and stamina. You give Jonas clear feedback – based on 4 evaluations from the last 3 months.
Jonas sees the same data in Player OS. He knows what he needs to work on.
Scenario 3: Parents Ask About Progress
Maria's parents ask at halftime: 'How is she developing?' You don't have to answer from memory.
Maria can show her development progress in Player OS herself. Or you quickly open Coach OS: Technical skills have significantly improved, mental strength is stable. A concrete discussion instead of vague answers.
The Player's Perspective
For players, Player OS is not a mandatory app. It's attractive.
The typical process from a player's perspective:
1. Push notification: 'Training tomorrow, 6 PM'
2. One tap: confirmed
3. Open training overview: Which exercises are scheduled?
4. Watch animations – the evening before or on the way to training
5. Arrive on the pitch prepared
6. After training: See personal evaluation in the app
Players who can track their own development are more motivated. This isn't marketing – it's the fundamental principle of feedback loops.
GDPR: What You Need to Know
Player OS stores player data – names, attendance, evaluations. This is subject to GDPR.
What Coach OS does:
- Servers in Germany (Hamburg)
- GDPR-compliant operation
- No data sharing with third parties
Particularly important: For players under 16, parental consent is required before data is collected. Coach OS supports this process – but the organizational responsibility lies with the club.
Tip: Clarify with your club's data protection officer how Player OS will be integrated into your data protection documentation.
